In August 2008 Fontburn Waterworks and Reservoir celebrates its centenary. It seems fitting that those of us who are still around and who love the place where we grew up should show our appreciation in some way. It was a wild and wonderful spot to spend a childhood. It is also very hard to explain this feeling to those who do not share it. We may have been short on material goods, but we were rich in freedom. The stories and pictures here are our attempt to explain our fascination with and appreciation of a very special place. |
